Bilbo's Last Song

Actually, this could be either Bilbo or Frodo.  Probably Frodo.  But maybe also Bilbo...

Anyway, I was inspired by Pauline Baynes' artwork for 'Bilbo's Last Song,' by JRRT.  Here, he stands at the front of the ship, gazing ahead.  In the background, the Lonely Isle of Tol Eressëa looms and behind, the Calacirya and the setting sun.  I was also inspired by Gandalf's quote from the Return of the King film, whereby he reassures Pippin, "The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass."  I was also listening to "Into the West" on repeat whilst drawing this by a lake on a summer's evening in Oxfordshire

You might be able to tell but I can't draw ships .  Another piece I'd like to do 'properly' some time.
